About our product

Young Overholt Tallow Butter is made from just four all-natural ingredients, all of which are sourced in the United States of America or from our farm. 

Our Tallow Butter is a nourishing moisturizer that can be applied anywhere on your body. It is clean and safe for the whole family.

Why Beef Tallow?

Tallow offers vitamins A, D, E, and K, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which may support skin health, boost immunity, and reduce inflammation. You've probably heard by now that beef tallow is one of the closest things in nature to our natural skin oil, it is non-comedogenic, meaning it doesn't clog your pores like a petroleum based product, it truly absorbs! 

Our focus is to provide your herd (family & friends) with products that offer healthy alternatives that are naturally grown. We will never use unnatural, factory-grown, chemical-based ingredients in any of our products.

Benefit of Hops

At Elm Grove Farm, we grow ur own hops as well as harvest & dry them ourselves. The whole cone hops are steeped in the Tallow toward the end of the rendering process to gently pull out the lupulin. 

Hop lupulin is known to have antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, as well as aid with sleep, anxiety, inflammation, digestive issues, hormone balancing, and more. It also lends a slight citrus-y scent. 


Application

Young Overholt Tallow butter nourishing face and body cream can be applied anywhere on your body. 

It helps rehydrate and replenish dry skin to a glowing state. A little will go a long way. Once applied, your skin will be shiny for a few minutes, and then your skin will gladly absorb it, allowing your skin to glow, feel and be better!

Storing Practices

We recommend storing the Tallow Butter in a cool (room temperature works), dry place. If you live in a very hot and humid climate, it may be best to store the cream in the fridge.

As stated on our labels, Tallow butter skincare should to be used within 12 months of the manufacturing date.


What makes us different?

At Young Overholt we raise our own grass-fed Black Angus and American Wagyu cattle on our family farm in Gloucester, Virginia. Unlike many tallow brands that source, we are able to control how cows live their lives and what does and doesn't enter their diet, 

Our cattle are raised on the pasture where they graze freely through regenerative practices, free of pesticides and herbicides like glyphosate. Our focus is to have full insight into how the cows are raised, so we are able to provide your 'Herd' with the highest quality ingredients in our products.

The same applies to our hops, this is a huge differentiator in that we control the purity of this unique ingredient. 

Third-party Chemically tested

Young Overholt prides itself on providing healthy, safe products for your family. We have tested our Tallow Skincare butter with AEMTEK, a 3rd party certified lab testing facility out of Fremont, California.

After thorough Microbiological, Chemical & Heavy Metal Testing, Young Overholt Tallow Butter skincare is free of: Yeast, Mold, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, Antimony, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Cobalt, Lead, Mercury, and Nickel.
